        Retractable Propulsion for racing yachts

        This system is designed with the combined knowledge from the Super Yacht systems and the first race-boat systems as widely applied by for example legendary Volco Ocean Race boats. It has lead to a light weight race-boat system without compromising reliability, user friendliness and weight. This all with excellent performance and high comfort. The system can be combined with all possible power sources, electric, hydraulic or direct driven by the diesel engine.
        The system is known for it’s detailed engineering and perfection.

        1 CARBON WET-BOX AND SKEG

        Part of the system’s success lies in the design and production of the skeg and wet-box. To ensure success, Ship Motion offers integrated design and manufacturing of the entire system.

        2 BUILD FROM LIGHTWEIGHT MATERIALS

        The RPS is made of lightweight materials such as titanium and carbon. We do not compromise quality.

        3 LIGHT WEIGHT

        The Ship Motion RPS has the lowest total weights. The smallest system RPS35C incl. All lightweight options have a total system weight of just under 50 kg.

        5 ELECTRICAL OPERATION

        The RPS deployment, retraction and lock functions are cared of by means of electrics. No hydraulics required wich saves space and weight.

        6 ADVANCED CONTROL SYSTEM

        The RPS comes standard with a basic control system for RPS functions and a drive motor interface. The system can be extended with advanced functions, such as automatic purge system and so on.
